I build all client websites on Squarespace, and here's why that's great news for you:
Squarespace strikes the perfect balance between professional capability and user-friendly management. Once your site is live, you'll be able to easily update content, add new pages, and make changes without needing technical knowledge or ongoing developer costs.
The platform is reliable, secure, and automatically handles updates and maintenance in the background. Plus, hosting costs are reasonable and predictable—no surprise bills or complicated technical management required.
Most importantly, Squarespace allows me to create truly custom designs that don't look like templates, while ensuring you have a platform you can confidently manage long-term.
Who owns the content and code for my new website?
Complete ownership transfers to you upon project completion. This includes full rights to your website's design, content, code, and all intellectual property created during our project.
You own everything—no strings attached, no ongoing licensing fees, and no restrictions on future modifications or platform changes.
What additional costs should I expect beyond the website design?
Squarespace Hosting: I recommend the Business plan, which costs approximately £15-20 per month. This covers hosting, security, and platform maintenance for as long as your website is live.
Domain Registration: Your custom domain (yourname.com) is included free for the first year when purchased through Squarespace. After that, expect around £15-20 annually for domain renewal.
Optional: Depending on your business needs, you might also consider email hosting, advanced analytics tools, or additional integrations—but these aren't required for most service-based businesses.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment is structured in three installments to align with project milestones:
30% deposit — Secures your spot in my production calendar and covers initial discovery work
35% midpoint payment — Due when design concepts are presented and approved
35% final payment — Due upon website completion and before launch
Payment plans are available for clients who prefer to spread the investment over a longer period. We can discuss options that work for your cash flow during our discovery call.
I already have established branding and some website content. Do you offer custom packages?
Absolutely! I work with clients who have established branding, existing content, or unique requirements that fall outside my standard package. Every business is different, and I'm happy to create a custom proposal that fits your specific needs and budget.
